The Student Union VAMOK and VAMK has rewarded teachers of the year according to a student vote. The rewarding was done in staff info meeting on 24th April and a teacher from each unit was awarded for excellent work.
The teachers of the year are:
Business Economics: Niklas Kallenberg
Technology: Marko Rantasalo
Health Care and Social Services: Teija Honkaniemi

In election of the teachers of the year the written feedback was emphasized alongside with the actual vote. The teachers of the year were thanked for their inspiring, professional and student-oriented teaching. Also approachable personality was kept as an important criteria for teacher of the year. 51 other teachers were also rewarded for their good work.
Chairwoman Kaisa Hakala and Educational Affairs Officer Tommi Halkosaari from the Student Union VAMOK handed out the Teacher of the Year awards.
