About the student card stamps

Reference about the VAMOK's student card stamps in previous Vamok-info has caused some confusion. There are two kinds of stamps. One that says “Syksy 2004" was given for those who graduated / were supposed to graduate by Christmas 2004. In case studies still continues, it is possible to pay the membership also for the spring. The other stamp says “2004-2005" and it is
valid till the end of September 2005. Those who have this stamp “2004-2005" don't have to worry about renewing their stamps this spring.

Careerday, February 1st

There will be a careerday in Wolffintie 30, lounge in the buildning B, 1st February at 10-14 o'clock.
There are going to be ABB, Geracap, Visual Web, Wärtsilä, YIT-Rakennus and Opiskelijaunioni presenting their functions and possible jobs. Welcome!

SHROVETIDE- happening February 8th 2005

The student organizations in Vaasa are organizing a traditional Shrovetide happening on Tuesday February 8th 2005.

A rink ball tournament will be played on Ice Stadium (Rinnakkaistie, alongside the motorway) between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. 7 teams can play in the tournament and the price is 30 € / team. Enrolments and possible questions to the address projekti@vamok.fi February 4th at the latest. Also the participation fee must be paid by that date.

There will be a truck transportation to the Ice Stadium: 12.00 (about) University/VAMK (Wolffintie), 12.15 Hanken, 12.20 Åbo Akademi, 12.30 VAMK (Raastuvankatu), 12.45 Ice Stadium
The finals starts around 1.15 p.m. and ends around 2 p.m.

From the Ice Stadium the journey continues by foot along the shore all the way to Kalaranta performing checkpoints at the same time. Maps for the checkpoints are given at the Ice Stadium.

At the Kalaranta The Happening starts at 2 p.m. There will be downhill competition (open for all, the more impressive and special, the better scores you'll get), pea soup and warm juice, tug-of-war between the arranging organizations, music and entertainment from the hosts. Everyone come along.
