A photo competition for engineers for which there is on offer a thousand euros and a PlayStation console.
A nationwide photo competition taking place during November raises the team spirit of engineering students and brings to the fore the educational opportunities for technology students. Participation happens through the social media. The nationwide engineer photo competition started on Saturday 01/11/2014 and will end on Sunday 30/11/2014. The competition is intended for all University of Applied Sciences engineering students.
The aim of the competition is to picture the world through the eyes of the engineering students. With the help of the photo competition it is intended to clarify the image of the diverse amount of options of an engineering education and give the students the opportunity to be proud of their own studies.
- We hope that the participants will bring concrete and recognizable things that show how many different areas of engineering education there are on offer in Finland, and how versatile an engineer´s job description can be, says the person in charge of the campaign Petteri Alanko.
Participation in the contest is done online by adding a picture to the competition application at https://www.facebook.com/insinoorit or on Instagram by marking the photo #engineer (the image will be on public display for all Instagram users). You can participate in the competition with several photos. Registered Facebook users can vote for photos on the campaign page. The photo which gathers the most votes wins the main prize of the competition.
The main prize of the competition is a 1000 euro gift voucher for a store selected by the winner. In addition a lot will be made amongst all the other photos sent in for a PlayStation 4 console (value approx. 429 euros).
