Jouko Paaso has been appointed Rector/President

Vaasa City Board has in its meeting on January 12, 2004 appointed Jouko Paaso, Doctor of Science (Technology), Rector/President of Vaasan ammattikorkeakoulu, University of Applied Sciences, beginning July 1, 2004.

Jouko Paaso, Doctor of Science (Technology), Executive Master of Business Administration is 47 years old. Paaso is presently on leave from the position of Principal Lecturer in Oulu University of Applied Sciences. He is professor in the Faculty of Technology in the University of Oulu and director of Pehr Brahe Software Laboratory. The Laboratory has 25 employees and is administered by VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, Oulu University of Applied Sciences and University of Oulu.
