Welcome to the first Qt programming contest at VAMK! You can participate in this contest if you are currently a third year IT student (English or Finnish line), or if you are an Erasmus exchange student in the IT department.
The Challenge
Qt makes it easy to add and interact with web content in your C++ applications. This can be done through web services (e.g., SOAP) or even embed parts of a web site using QtWebKit. Your application should make use of these capabilities in order to enhance and simplify its usability. Possible example applications can be:
• Weather station
• Movie/Media manager and player
• Something else, be creative!
You should make sure your final code is properly formatted, and written in good style. Don't forget to add code documentation (e.g., JavaDoc style comments).
The contest deadline is December 27th and the winner will be announced on January 1st. The best entry will receive a Genesi SmartBook and the runner up will be awarded with a Genesi SmartTop.
