cost-effective, accessible, and impactful services in collaboration with our partners, with a strong focus on service integration.
Smart Society
Together with our partners, we seek socially and ethically sustainable solutions to societal challenges.
The research platform co-creates and develops cost-effective, accessible, and impactful services and other solutions in collaboration with our partners, emphasizing service integration and multidisciplinary approaches. The aim is to promote well-being and health, strengthen network and service coordination expertise, enhance overall security, and support the shift towards preventive services and early intervention. In practical development work, service design and co-creation are utilized to foster innovations that support well-being, and to improve the flow of service systems and service chains by drawing on customer experiences and the opportunities offered by technology.

Riku Niemistö is known as wide-ranging developer of well-being services
Riku has been involved in the planning of provincial health and social services, for example in the organisation of child and family services.
As a senior lecturer in the social and health field, hehas seen how valuable multidisciplinarity is both from the point of view of professionals and the customer.
”Well-being issues are often complex. A multidisciplinary approach is needed especially for customers who use a lot of services. A common platform makes it easier to face people as a whole and to solve problems in a multidisciplinary way.”
In the welfare services of the future, the prevention of problems and accessibility will be taken into account even more. Digital services can also help with that.
