Project description
The training will be based on effective and accessible 1-2 credit online courses. Online learning will include both guided and timetabled distance learning and independent and time-independent work. Courses can also be completed as fully independent work through video lectures and distance learning assignments. Participants will be engaged in the courses by offering a timetabled delivery option in addition to the fully self-paced nature of the courses.
Goals
The aim of the project is that after completing the course, participants will have an understanding of the climate impacts of their sector and how to mitigate them. The participant will also be familiar with the carbon footprint of products, services or companies in their sector and identify ways to reduce their climate impact.
Results
As a result, participants will gain tools (carbon footprint/life cycle assessment, pedagogical methods) and knowledge (climate impacts and carbon footprint of the sector, life cycle thinking) for teaching climate impacts in vocational and upper secondary education.
The training includes two modules:
- Basics of a carbon neutral society, 2 credits
- Life Cycle and Carbon Footprint Calculation, 2 credits
