Message from Annie support bot on 2 December 2024

VAMK is developing student guidance and welfare services by introducing the Annie support bot service. The goal is to make it as easy as possible for the students to receive support for studies and daily life. On 2 December the international degree students studying their first year at VAMK will receice a text message from Annie support bot from the number +358 457 395 0034 to their Finnish mobile number.

The message will ask if you need help related to studies or well-being. If yes, you will receive instructions, or you will be contacted by your school. Please respond to the message even if you don’t need anything. This way we know how you are doing!

Respond to the message only with the response options provided in the message. The support bot does not understand other responses. If you reply with something the support bot does not understand, you will receive a notification about this along with the accepted response options, and you can reply again. If you respond to the first message but the conversation with the bot is left unfinished, you will receive a reminder shortly after, prompting you to complete the response. If you want to end the conversation with the bot, you can do so by replying “stop.”

If you do not respond to the first message, you will receive a reminder text message 24 hours later.

If you report a need for support, you may later receive a follow-up message asking if you received help with your issue. Respond to the message with the option that best describes your situation. If you respond to the follow-up message that you did not receive help, a new notification about the need for support will be sent to the responsible person.
