Czech-Finnish Battery Day in Vaasa on 22.11.2023

The Czech Embassy will organise a Czech-Finnish Battery Day in Vaasa on 22.11 and in Helsinki on 23.11. In Vaasa Czech-Finnish Battery Day is organized at the premises of Ostrobothnia Chamber of Commerce. In this event representatives from our region have a possibility to establish partnerships with Czech companies and academic institutions within the battery value chain.

The delegation will be led by Ambassador Adam Vojtěch. He will be accompanied by Martin Voříšek, specialist in Battery Industry and Electromobility, Department of Sectoral Expertise and Industrial Policy, Deputy Ambassador Daniel Horak and Trade and Economic specialist Jana Arhio from the Embassy. Head of Mission, Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Vaasa will accompany the group throughout the visit, while also representing VAMK as Director of RDI. The visit is planned in cooperation with the Czech Embassy, the Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic/VAMK, Ostrobothnia Chamber of Commerce, VASEK and Merinova.

Czech companies represented are BatteryCheck, Bilfinger Tebodin CZ, FOXCONN CZ, Kovohutě Příbram, REMAVY GROUP, ChargeUp, ZEBRA Technologies. Research institutions are represented by the Central European Institute of Technology (CEITEC ), the Czech Technical University in Prague, the Technical University of Brno and the University of Pardubice.

Programme of the event:

In the afternoon, the delegation will visit the Smart Technology Hub.
