At the Campus Day, secondary level students got to explore VAMK’s study offerings

Vaasa University of Applied Sciences’ Campus Day brought together high school students and those studying for a profession in Ostrobothnia to get to know the Palosaari campus and VAMK’s diverse offerings in technology, business, and social and health sciences.

The Campus Day was organised on November 9, 2023, at Vaasa University of Applied Sciences. The event, aimed at high school and vocational students in the Ostrobothnia region, attracted approximately 370 participants to explore VAMK’s versatile degree programs and the possibilities of open UAS studies. Participants from Kokkola to Pori had the opportunity to visit the Palosaari campus, attend small-scale lectures, and explore the modern learning environment of Technobothnia in the field of technology.

At the education fair during Campus Day, participants had the chance to engage in discussions with students from various fields at VAMK, meet representatives from the city of Vaasa, and learn about employment opportunities offered by ABB, a company that employs many students. The student housing foundation VOAS was also present, and student ambassadors shared insights into student life.

“We could ask about anything related to studying which was important for our students”, comments Pia Lustig, guidance counsellor at Vasa övningsskola high school.

“The day was interesting and informative”, says Jenna, a high school student from Vaasa.
